My number one tip for engagement sessions is to have it be relatable and special to the couple. So, when Maedelin wanted to do something a different and fun for their session, I suggested renting a cute and cozy Airbnb, knowing they liked getaways. They searched for the perfect Airbnb that fit their style, set a date to getaway, and invited me along (well, for part of it). This definitely made my top 5 list of favorite sessions, and I can’t wait to share all about Maedelin and Austin’s cozy, Winter Airbnb engagement session with you!

Maedelin and Austin snuck away in the middle of Winter for a weekend at the coziest cabin in the woods, The Little Bear Lodge. They used this time to unplug with each other and also brought me along for a couple hours to capture what they loved. Maedelin and Austin live for slow mornings with coffee, snuggles with their fur baby, and nights in with pizza rolls and wine. So, that’s exactly what they did. We used the entire cabin from the kitchen to the family room and bedroom, and even the stairs. When the sun started to set, we headed outside to explore the woods and frozen lake to finish off the session.

We made this engagement session all about them (they even switched out throw blankets with ones they brought from home) and the things they love which let them feel comfortable and in their element.
