Karly and Carter’s Minnesota Wedding was a dream and I cannot wait so share some of the details and photos with you! I first met Carly and Carter two years ago when they hired me to take their engagement photos. They had just moved to Minnesota after graduating college and Carly was so in love with him that she moved to Minnesota from her hometown out East so they could be together. Their original plan was to get married in Karly‘s home state, but soon after their engagement session, I received an email that they had a change of heart and would be getting married here in Minnesota.

Karly and Carter wanted their wedding to have an industrial feel to it and found the perfect venue in the Twin Cities, Paikka. Paikka provides a modern and minimalist setting with an industrial touch, being an old mattress factory (if this sounds like the venue you’re in search for, you won’t be disappointed- check it out here!). Along with finding their dream venue, Karly and Carter also knew they wanted to incorporate personal touches to their big day. Not only did they have a Mexican food truck for dinner since that’s their favorite food, but they also had an ice cream truck for dessert to symbolize their first date, which was out for ice cream!

Now, I have to share a story that stuck out to me from the reception about how they met. Not only did they meet at college, but it was in a class that Carter never thought in a million years he would meet his future wife: an engineering, math class. After they exchanged numbers and started messaging each other, they began to hang out, but here’s the twist: did I mention Carter has an IDENTICAL twin? Who he lived with? In their early stages of dating, she had Carter meet her outside of their house so she would know which one he was (don’t worry, Karly can tell the difference now!). I love this story so much and I can’t wait for them to tell their children one day.

From a fun, laid back morning with the sweetest girls to the most delicious food trucks and dreamy golden hour photos, everything went seamless at Karly and Carter’s Minnesota Wedding and I’d do it again and again with these two!
